Our backyard
Indian Bay is one of the most picturesque and cherished beaches on the southern coast of St. Vincent. Known for its calm turquoise waters, soft white sand, and swaying palm trees, it offers a peaceful retreat just minutes from the capital, Kingstown. Framed by low cliffs and sheltered coves, Indian Bay is ideal for swimming, snorkeling, and family picnics.
Beyond its natural beauty, Indian Bay holds historical significance. The
first arrival of Indian indentured servants in St. Vincent and the Grenadines occurred on June 1, 1861, aboard the ship Travancore, The landing site is now known as Indian Bay, yes our Indian bay.
Today, this beach remains a favorite for locals and visitors alike—a place where natural charm meets quiet echoes of the past.
